The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) extends our deepest condolences to the family of Senator John McCain.

“We are proud to recognize his lifetime of service, from his 23 years in the United States Navy to his three decades in Congress,” said USHCC Interim President & CEO Fernand Fernandez. “He was a leader of utmost integrity and an ally to the American business community. As a founding member of the Senate Task Force on Hispanic Affairs, he showed exemplary commitment to Hispanic issues, unhindered by divisive party lines. His entire life was a lesson in courage.”

In 2014, the USHCC awarded Senator McCain with the Lifetime Achievement Award to celebrate his tireless service to the American people. In 2017, Cindy McCain received the USHCC Excellence in Leadership Award for her Combating Human Trafficking Program at the McCain Institute. The staff of the USHCC holds the McCain family in our thoughts as our nation remembers the heroic life of Senator John McCain
